Our 2024 Fathers Day Rod Run was held on June 15 at Christina Park in Lakeland. The weather was great and attendance was up from 2023. Everyone said they had a great time.

Weekly Club Breakfast:

A number of club members meet every Saturday morning for breakfast. Currently, we are meeting at Egg City in Haines City. Check the calendar on this website to see the rotation schedule.  Come join us at 7:30 AM for some good food and livley conversation. Please check the calendar to verify that the location or time hasn't changed. Call 863-326-9397 for more details.

 

Monthly Club Meeting:

Our meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.

We are meeting at Shack's BBQ, 3000 Cypress Gardens Rd., Winter Haven, FL 33844.

Check the Club calendar for any changes to the meeting schedule or location.

Central Florida Steet Rod AssociationThe CFSRA was formed by some local car nuts in 1989. Several of those charter members are still active participants in the club today.

Some members are also members of NSRA and the club provides support of NSRA by running games at some of the NSRA events.

In addition to helping club members and other street rodders, we have also chosen to give back to the community through proceeds from our annual Fathers Day Rod Run car show.

 

Long Time Member Passes Away

               

 

John Thurston Henry, Jr. of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at his residence. He was born February 16, 1935 in Lenoir, North Carolina to the late John and Alice Henry. He moved to Lake Wales from The Keys 22 years ago. John was a retired transportation supervisor and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. John loved motorcycles and custom cars. He joined the “Central Florida Street Rod Association” in 2004 shortly after he moved to Lake Wales. He also enjoyed flying gas planes as a hobby. John will be missed by his family, his friends and the members of the car Club.         

Lake Mirror Concours and Car Show

The 25th anniversary Lake Mirror concours and car show will be held on Friday thru Sunday, October 18 thru 20, at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, FL. Registration for the concours and downtown car show ends on September 15th at midnight. The Lake Mirror Classic Concours d’Elegance and Car Show raises money for local Lakeland and Polk County charities. The 2022 & 2023 “Classic” provided over $55,000 to local charities.

Balmoral Car Show

We will be holding a car show at the Balmoral Resort, 124 Kenny Blvd in Haines City on November 9th, 2024. It is FREE to all vehicles. Registration is from 9 AM to 11 AM at the show. The show is from 10 AM to 2 PM. It will feature Music, 50/50, Door Prizes and food vouchers to the first 40 cars.

Trunk or Treat

Polk County FOP Lodge 46 is hosting a Trunk or treat event on Sunday October 20th from 1:00 pm until 4:00pm at125 W Brannen Rd, Lakeland, FL 33813 125 W. We encourae all car guys/gals to attend this event and bring candy/treats to pass out to the kids that attend. Feel free to dress you and your ride in Halloween attire.
