The CFSRA was formed by some local car nuts in 1989. Several of those charter members are still active participants in the club today.
Some members are also members of NSRA and the club provides support of NSRA by running games at some of the NSRA events.
In addition to helping club members and other street rodders, we have also chosen to give back to the community through proceeds from our annual Fathers Day Rod Run car show.
CFSRA Member Steve Hurst Passes Away
It is with shock and great regret that the Central Florida Street Rod Association must report the sudden passing of club member Steve Hurst on Tuesday, October 31. Steve lived in Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee with his wife Betsy. They both have been very active members of the club for 12 years. Steve served several years as a Director on the Club Board of Directors and Betsy served several years as the Club Secretary.
Steve and Betsy made the long drive from Kissimmee to Haines City almost every week to join in the weekly Club member breakfast. Steve loved building and driving his street rods. He and Betsy made it to many car shows throughout Central Florida and participated for several years in the Key West Power cruise.
Betsy plans to have a celebration of life at a later date. We will all sorely miss Steve.
2023 Fathers Day Rod Run

Our Fathers Day Rod Run was held on Saturday, June 17. Inspite of some on again/off again showers, everyone had a great time. We had hoped attendance would be up, but it looks like the weather held it to about the same as last year. Food sales, shirt sales, bake good sales and vendor sales were all livlely. We had lots of return participants and many new comers. Because of many generous donors, we had lots of door prizes. The participants bought lots of tickets which led to a sizeable 50/50 pot. On their way out, a lot of participants said they had a great time and would be back next year (6/15/24).
On October 13, the Club presented Sheriff Grady Judd with a check from proceeds of the show to be donated to the Blane Lane Fund.
