The CFSRA was formed by some local car nuts in 1989. Several of those charter members are still active participants in the club today.
Some members are also members of NSRA and the club provides support of NSRA by running games at some of the NSRA events.
In addition to helping club members and other street rodders, we have also chosen to give back to the community through proceeds from our annual Fathers Day Rod Run car show.
Charity Donation to Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida

On December 10, 2024, President Larry Bossarte presented a check for $3000 to Ashley Lloyd of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida. BCFCF was our chosen charity for 2024. Money for the donation came from our 2024 Fathers Day Rod Run and our Lake Alfred car show.
Club Member Passes Away
Former member Brad Poole passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Brad joined the club in 2014. A few years ago, Brad moved to Eustis Florida. Brad’s 40 Chevy coupe was kind of a rat rod sporting a blue and primer paint job. Although not the prettiest, it was very reliable and allowed Brad to make the journey from Eustis to Christina Park for our annual Father’s Day Rod Run. Brad was one of the hot dog cooking crew. In recent years, Brad found it difficult to make the trip to Polk county for club events. Although a little hard of hearing, Brad liked to participate in all club activities when he could.
